With Meg Barringer still recovering from pneumonia, Rain McFarland runs Barringer and Associates, taking on security for a new archaeological site in New Whisper.  When humans start disappearing as well, Rain and Meg must find answers.

Little Dog Lost: Even the gods hire Barringer and Associates when they need a PI. The goddess Pele shocks Meg Barringer by demanding she find the goddess' missing dog. 

Author's Note: Whisper was the first series I wrote and published. Certainly there are things I'd do different now, but at the same time, I love the town of Whisper, set in a fictionalized area between my former in Duvall and Carnation, Washington. Everything about the series evokes the beauty of the Pacific Northwest, which I love. Peter was an amazing character, mysterious and charismatic. There's even a bit of romance, although Meg's issues get annoying. There were more stories and more background that I've never gotten around to writing. Maybe someday.
